Manufacturing Engineer (manufacturing engineering exp. req.) Description
Our client, a well-established chemical manufacturer, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to add to their team (<150 company-wide) in the Greater Nashville Area. In this role, you'll combine hands-on manufacturing engineering with project management responsibilities to improve production processes, support new product introductions, and implement new equipment and automation initiatives. You'll play a key role in evaluating manufacturing methods, designing tooling and fixtures, and driving process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency. You will design tooling and fixtures for their equipment (presses, mixers, reactors, etc.) to avoid any disruptions to production goals. They are looking for someone who would enjoy being a part of a team that is actively looking to be more at the forefront of innovation. Manufacturing Engineer (manufacturing engineering exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
• Design, procure, and implement tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment
• Support automation and semi-automated manufacturing initiatives
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities
• Partner on new product development from concept through production
• Develop manufacturing processes that improve consistency and throughput
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and safety assessments
• Manage customer and internal engineering projects from quote through execution
• Support bid/no-bid decisions, estimating, and resource planning
• Collaborate across engineering, quality, and production to deliver successful projects
• Champion continuous improvement and a safety-first culture
Manufacturing Engineer (manufacturing engineering exp. req.) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• 3+ years of engineering experience required
• Experience designing tooling and fixtures using 3D CAD required
• Ability to work 100% onsite required
