Manufacturing Engineer (1+ Years of Plastics Exp. Req.) Description
Our client in the plastics manufacturing industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to add to their team east of Green Bay, WI. In this role, you will lead project engineering and continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, product quality, efficiency, and cost. The ideal candidate will have hands-on plastics manufacturing experience and the ability to manage engineering projects through the full lifecycle. Manufacturing Engineer (1+ Years of Plastics Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects from concept through completion
• Evaluate and optimize processes to improve reliability, consistency, uptime, and product quality
• Support initiatives focused on reducing scrap, waste, downtime, cycle times, and costs
• Review mold and tooling designs/modifications, support vendor selection, and coordinate trials
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and implementation
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, tooling, and product quality issues on the production floor
• Partner cross-functionally to evaluate manufacturability of new products and designs
• Evaluate plastics materials and manufacturing solutions to align with production objectives
• Lead and influence production teams during engineering and process improvement projects
• Develop and maintain process specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet company safety and environmental requirements
Manufacturing Engineer (1+ Years of Plastics Exp. Req.) Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
• 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required
• 1+ years of plastics manufacturing experience is required
• Ability to manage engineering projects through the full project lifecycle is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
