Bachendorf’s: Lead Rolex Certified Pre-Owned Buyer Description 

We’re partnering with Bachendorf’s as they are searching for a Lead Rolex Certified Pre-Owned Buyer to join their corporate team in Dallas and take ownership of their growing Certified Pre-Owned Rolex business. While the CPO business is already established, this is a newly created role designed to expand Bachendorf’s footprint in the CPO space. Given the name and reputation Bachendorf’s has built in the DFW market, the opportunity to grow this business segment is significant, giving the right person the chance to really make it their own and help shape its future. They’ll oversee the process from market research and sourcing through purchasing, certification, pricing, and establishing margins, ultimately getting the finished timepieces ready to be inventoried and sold in the stores.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for timepieces and strong knowledge of Rolex, along with a highly analytical and detail-oriented approach. We’re looking for someone who values the opportunity to partner with an elevated, highly reputable name in the luxury market while having the autonomy to help shape the strategy and growth of this business segment. This is a role for someone who enjoys using data and market insight to make better decisions, values being trusted to own their work, and wants to be empowered to make an impact while still having the structure and support of an experienced leadership team. You’ll work closely with both the VP of Purchasing and VP of Rolex, giving you the opportunity to make decisions independently while having the right people around you to collaborate with and provide guidance when needed.

Bachendorf’s: Lead Rolex Certified Pre-Owned Buyer Responsibilities 

•    Source pre-owned Rolex inventory through wholesale dealer relationships
•    Manage pricing, terms, and allocations for pre-owned timepieces
•    Develop strategies to expand the CPO business and increase its overall market footprint
•    Drive inventory and purchasing decisions to achieve established sales, margin, and profitability 
•    Partner with leadership to align purchases with in-demand references and sales needs
•    Evaluate purchases for authenticity and condition before entering the certification pipeline
•    Partner with internal watchmakers to identify quality issues before CPO submission
•    Evaluate purchase and certification costs, pricing, and market comps to protect margin
•    Submit vetted watches to Rolex for CPO certification and track through completion
•    Track acquisition cost, certification turnaround, and unit-level margin; report to Finance
•    Allocate and ship certified watches to Clearfork and Galleria for merchandising and sale

•    You have a genuine passion for timepieces with a strong, demonstrated knowledge of Rolex
•    You are highly analytical and prefer working in positions that allow you to use data to inform decision-making
•    You are extremely detail-oriented and understand the importance of balancing urgency with accuracy and efficiency
•    You are highly organized and comfortable working with autonomy because of the high standards you set for yourself
•    You are naturally curious and eager to learn, with the ability to flourish in an evolving environment within a rapidly growing business
•    You are trustworthy, accountable, and comfortable handling high-value inventory and sensitive financial information
