Production Manager Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Production Manager to add to their team in Arlington Heights, IL. You will lead a team of approximately 15 production employees while taking ownership of production scheduling, workflow, documentation, and process improvements. A key initial focus will be improving production flow and establishing reliable scheduling based on capacity and build times. You will also help strengthen quality processes and coordinate the continued development of a quality management system. To be considered, you must have production leadership experience in equipment or machinery fabrication, assembly, or a comparable manufacturing environment, along with experience working within a formal quality management system. You must also have experience with production scheduling, process improvement, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office. Production Manager Responsibilities
• Lead approximately 15 production employees across multiple manufacturing functions
• Build production schedules around demand, capacity, and required completion dates
• Assign work and ensure the right resources are aligned with production priorities
• Analyze production flow, build times, and bottlenecks to improve productivity
• Improve workflows, quality inspections, and production documentation
• Coordinate development and implementation of the quality management system
• Manage employee training, performance, hiring, and disciplinary processes
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, sales, and other internal departments
• Monitor ERP workflows and ensure production information remains accurate
Production Manager Qualifications
• 4+ years of production supervisory or management experience required
• Fabrication, assembly, or similar manufacturing environment experience required
• Production scheduling and process improvement experience required
• Experience working within a quality management system required
• ERP or MRP system experience required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, required
