Product Design Engineer - New Product Development Description
Our client is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join their team near Sugar Hill, GA. In this role, you will own physical product development projects from initial requirements and concept design through testing, validation, and market launch, balancing function, usability, appearance, durability, cost, and manufacturability. You will also resolve production and quality issues on existing products and mentor junior engineers through drawing reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance. Our client is looking for someone with demonstrated product design experience and ownership of the full development lifecycle, including detailed design, material selection, prototyping, and manufacturability for consumer and end-user-facing goods. The product category is flexible; what matters is knowing how to turn an idea into an intuitive, well-designed product people want to use. You will develop new products, improve existing designs, solve production challenges, and see your work become tangible products used in real-world applications. This is an opportunity to join a growing, family-owned company with a collaborative engineering team, varied product portfolio across material and applications, and a newly upgraded facility.
